Many social crises in Greenwich and Connecticut have their roots in economic inequality and a lack of equal opportunity.
In order to change the status quo, we’ll need to open a dialogue with historically underprivileged groups and ensure that access to high-quality employment opportunities is not impeded on the basis of sex, race, or other qualifying factors.
In addition to coaching the Greenwich High School rugby team, Joe Kelly has volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club, where he made it a priority to advocate for the needs of all members of the community, irrespective of socioeconomic status, race, disability, etc.
Joe’s platform of anti-racism and anti-discrimination will be essential when tackling the issues of social justice and equal opportunity.
